As selling agent for your horse: 10% of final purchase price due at time of sale.
Purchasing a dressage horse is a big step for most people. It's not only a large initial expense, but once the purchase is complete, an ongoing expense. In addition many people purchase dressage horses with a long time commitment in mind. This means that the purchase process can be lengthy and include one or more try outs of the horse, vettings, and price negotiatiation. As selling agent I will market, and present your horse to its highest potential. My knowledge of the market place gives your horse exposure to more potential buyers and presents the horse in a way that professional trainers and knowledgable buyers will recognize your horse as a high quality prospect.
As agent for sale:
I advertise the horse on my website and set up advertising for other sites.
I show the horse to buyers at no additional cost (training fees apply). I negotiate price and circumstances, and act as the third party between you and the buyer.
I attend and arrange all vettings and can act as escrow agent in the event that the horse must remain in neutral territory as the sale is being completed.
I can arrange all transportation and housing for the horse between completion of sale and the horse being shipped to the new owner.
Other costs associated with selling your horse that is not covered by the commission:
Your horse must be fit and show ready. This means he needs to be in training or seen several times per week (at AnneMarie's discretion) to ensure that the horse is prepared.
Preparing the horse for marketing video and pictures and video/picture costs.
